]]> Our firm has been a long-time supporter of West Palm Beach Police Athletic League‘s wrestling program – in fact, since the first year the program was founded by Jonathan “JT” Taylor, an ex-wrestler, program manager, and now director at PAL. And, Craig Goldenfarb founded a charity two years ago that donates Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) to youth athletic organizations called Heart of the Game.
This week, those two efforts crossed paths in a sad, but ultimately triumphant, way.
 
Two Saturday’s ago, a wrestling coach and attorney from Sarasota, Tracy Lee, collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest at PAL’s annual Sunshine State Games “Go for the Gold” wrestling tournament at Keiser University in West Palm. An AED was used, but he did not survive. He was 51 years old.
 
As the sponsor of the event, Mr. Goldenfarb heard of the terrible news. He also heard that PAL doesn’t own an AED of their own, and he knew what he needed to do next.
 
We swung into action to get PAL two brand-new, free AEDS – one that will be wall-mounted in their facilities, and one that is mobile – so they don’t have to go another day unprepared to respond the the deadly threat of sudden cardiac arrest.
It’s a wonderful way to honor Mr. Lee, and leave a lasting legacy at PAL.
